DIRECT COMPETITORS

RESEARCH METHODS

ONE MEDICAL

Membership based with streamlined access to medical services.

COMPETITIVE ANALYSIS

Researching existing platforms helped me identify key differentiators, highlighting their pros and cons, uncovering gaps in the market, and opportunities to improve existing resources.

USER INTERVIEWS

This method enabled me to gain a deeper understanding of the user’s experience with healthcare tasks, empathize with their challenges, and identify their needs to streamline and improve their overall experience. The plan is to interview 5-7 interviews to both male and female individuals between 21-55 years old who seek medical help.

The main finding is that there are platforms out there that offer some of the features users need, but none of them offer ALL of the necessary tools in one platform. This allowed me to conclude that there isn't an all-in-one platform that provides all the tools needed based on my research.

INTERVIEW LEARNINGS

CUREMD

Offers unique features such as electronic health records. Similar features to my product include appointment scheduling and prescription refills.

CENTRALIZED HEALTHCARE PLATFORM

Users face difficulties managing their medical information and tasks because their health data is scattered across multiple platforms. This fragmentation leads to confusion, missed steps, and added stress—highlighting the need for a centralized solution that supports better organization and peace of mind.

LACK OF EFFICIENCY TO BOOK APPOINTMENTS

The lack of efficiency in setting up, canceling, or rescheduling appointments leads to long wait times, unanswered calls, and delays in care, causing increased stress and reluctance to seek medical attention.

SIMPLIFY APPOINTMENT CONFIRMATION PROCESS

The redundant and inefficient confirmation process involves multiple steps or follow-ups to confirm appointments, leading to unnecessary delays, confusion, and frustration for both patients and healthcare providers.

DESIGN PROCESS

USER PERSONA

Based on my research, this product is designed for individuals aged 20 to 55 who are often balancing busy schedules—whether with school, college, or work—and need a streamlined solution to manage their healthcare more efficiently.

This is the core architecture of MedPort, thoughtfully structured to deliver targeted solutions that address our users' key pain points effectively.

USER FLOW

After finalizing the sitemap, we created this user flow to map out the step-by-step journey for completing a specific task—booking an appointment—as well as to explore the potential paths a user might take along the way.

MID FIDELITY WIREFRAME

HIGH FIDELITY WIREFRAMES

In these mid-fidelity wireframes, I refined the components, layout, and structure based on insights from the low-fidelity versions, ensuring that all essential elements were included and the user experience was as streamlined and intuitive as possible.

In the mid-fidelity wireframes, I concentrated on refining the structure and functionality of the product to ensure a strong foundation before applying branding in the high-fidelity stage. For the visual design, I chose a clean, minimal interface with a monochromatic palette accented by green tones—creating a sense of clarity and calm while balancing the product's many components.
